Hello creative friends. I hope everyone is having a good week. Mine has been going well. I recently bought some Dylusions paints and wanted to try them out on an art journal page. I painted the background for this journal page and then added some ephemera and a quote from my stash. Here is a pic of the journal page I created and some close up pics:
And here is a quick video showing how I created this page:
I really like the way this journal page turned out and I really like these Dylusions paints. They are really smooth and blend very well. I would recommend them to any artist. Thanks for stopping by. Until next time, Happy Creating.
Hello creative friends. I hope everyone is having a good week. Mine has been going very well. This past weekend I decided to do an art journal page with a painting of a peacock that I have been wanting to paint for a long time now, but never got around to it. In the picture that I have, the peacock has light colored feathers, so I used gold and copper metallic paints for the feathers. I also used Twinkling H20 watercolor paints for the birds head and back feathers and finished the detail work on the face with other acrylic paints. This particular journal page does not have any words or quotes, which I always like to add to my journal pages, but after completing the bird I did feel it needed anything else. Here is a pic of the journal page I created and some close up pics:

I have pictures of other peacocks that I took while in St. Augustine at the Ponce De Leon park that are very colorful and some white ones that I want to also paint someday. The picture I used for this one was from a calendar that I have had for 10+ years. I hope you try your hand at painting a peacock sometime, if you have not yet done so, they are a lot of fun to paint. Until next time, happy creating.
Hello creative friends. Hope everyone is having a good week. Mine is going well. This week I have an art journal page to share that I created using black gesso, modeling paste, stencils, florescent paints, watercolor paints, a poem called 'Have you no scar' and a couple of quotes from my stash. This is a more personal page for me and I was debating on weather to share it or not. I've had the poem for over a year now and wanted to put it on an art journal page, but could not decide how I wanted to incorporate it into a journal page. I also had a page with black gesso on it that I was going to use for something else, but never did. So I thought that would be a good start for this page. I wanted to use modeling paste and florescent paint on this page so that it would really pop against the black background. I also found two quotes in my stash that went well with the poem so I added them to the page as well. This is nothing like what I had in mind for this poem and am really happy with the way it turned out. Here are pictures of the art journal page I created:

I believe that we all have some kind of scars, weather it be mental, physical or both. I don't believe that anyone gets through life unscathed. And I believe part of the lesson in life is learning how to deal with our scars. I am thankful that I have art to help me deal with mine. Thank you for stopping by. Until next time, Happy Creating.

Hello creative friends. I hope everyone is having a great week. My week is going well and my weekend was very productive. However, still having issues getting my videos to upload to YouTube, but managed to get it uploaded after letting it run overnight. Anyway, I completed an art journal page and a little burgundy journal for my Etsy shop. The art journal page I created was similar to the Fantasy Art journal page I created a couple of week ago, except that I wanted to draw and paint the figure and animal instead of using magazine images. I used acrylic paint to paint the background, then using reference photos I drew the figure and the cheetah. I used acrylic paint to paint the cheetah and the woman. I used Twinkling H20 watercolor paints and metallic paint for the butterfly wings. I using Prismacolor coloring pencils and felt tip pens for the detail work. And finished the page with a quote from my stash. Here are pictures of the art journal page I created:
And here is the video showing how I created this page:
I also made another journal for my Etsy shop. I call this one the Little Burgundy journal. Here are pictures of the journal I made:

Hello creative friends. Hope everyone is having a great week. Mine week is busy, but going well. The art journal page I created a couple of weeks ago, after creating the #CACFantasyArt journal page. I had so much fun that I wanted to create another similar page. I also have been wanting to create a page with an Angel for some time. So I searched through my stash and found an image that I thought would work along with a couple of quotes. I painted the background and the winds and then added the image and quotes to finish this journal page. Here are pictures of the journal page I created.
And here is a video showing how I created this page. I finally got it to upload, I could not get it to upload last night. I may have to change what night I post if Tuesday nights are going to be an issue. Anyway, enjoy the video.
I really like the way this journal page turned out and I had a lot of fun creating it. Have you created an art journal page with an Angel before? If so I would love to hear about it. Thank you for stopping by. Until next time, Happy Creating.
Hello creative friends. Hope everyone had a good weekend and is having a good week. My week is going well. This past weekend I wanted to do some art journaling, but was not sure what to do. So I looked through my stash and found some pictures and several quotes for creating an art journal page for St. Patrick's Day. I put down some paint, used paint through several stencils for the background, added the pictures and quotes from my stash and then outlined everything with markers. Here is a picture of the page I created and some close-ups.
And here is a video showing how I created this page.
I hope you had a Happy St. Patrick's Day. Thank you for stopping by. Until next time, Happy Creating.
