Creating Art Art Journal Page

Hello creative friends.  I hope everyone is having a good week.  Mine week is going well.  This week I have an art journal page that I created using black gesso, modeling paste, fluorescent paint and ephemera from my stash.  Here are pics of the journal page I created.

And here is a video showing how I created this page.

I really like the way this journal page turned out and I love using this technique.  Please leave a comment if you have any questions.  Thank you for stopping by and watching the video.  Hope you have a great week.  Until next time, Happy Creating.

Journey Daybook Retreat in Cedar Keys and a Bluebird Art Journal Page

Hello creative friends.  I hope everyone is having a good week.  My week is going well.  This week I have pictures from a Journey Daybook Retreat I went to in Cedar Keys and a Bluebird Art Journal page I created.  The Journey Daybook retreat was a lot of fun.  We created a collage art journal page and then went to the beach to do some art journaling.  Here are some pics of Cedar Keys.

And here are pics of the two collage art journal pages I created and a watercolor art journal page of the beach I created.

It was a lot of fun and I am looking forward to other outings with the group.

I also have an art journal page that I created of a bluebird.  I drew the bird on the page, then used a metallic glue stick to hot glue a design on the page behind the bird.  I used watercolor paints to paint the background and then used acrylic paint to paint the bird and flowers.  Here are pics of the page I created.

And here is a video showing how I created this page.

The hot glue design isn't as smooth as I would like, but it was a lot of fun to make.  Maybe with more practice I can get better at making designs with the hot glue gun LOL.  Thank you for stopping by and I hope you like the video.  If you have any questions, please leave me a comment.  Until next time, Happy Creating.

Vegas Vacation and Life is a Miracle Art Journal Page

Hello creative friends.  I hope everyone is having a great week.  My week has been great because I'm on vacation and got back from a trip to Vegas today.  Me and my husband had a great time, but are exhausted from the trip and the long flight.  Here are a couple of pics from our trip.

I visited Vegas about 30 years ago and it has changed a lot since then.  But this was my husbands first visit to Vegas.  The only downfall was the 7 hour flight and 3 hour time change, so exhausting.
I also have an art journal page that I created with the leftover paint from the Giraffe painting I posted last week.  I decided to use up the leftover paint and to use the pictures that I was using for reference, along with other ephemera from my stash, to create this art journal page.  Here are pics of the page I created.

And here is a video showing how I created this page.

I had fun created this page and like the way it turned out, so cute.  Thank you for stopping by and watching the video.  I hope you have a great rest of the week.  My plans are to get plenty of rest and recoup in preparation for returning to work on Monday and starting my new job in Marketing, so exciting.  Until next time, happy creating.

A Lock Journal and Painted Giraffe's

Hello creative friends.  I hope everyone is have a great week.  My week has been going well.  I am looking forward to going on vacation next week, so next weeks post will be a bit late.  This week I have a flip through another journal I made for my Etsy shop and a painting of a Giraffe and her baby.  The journal is made out of Tim Holtz printed paper, plain paper and manila paper.  I added pockets, tags and a bookmark.  I also added a lock plate to the cover.  Here are a couple of pics of the journal I made:

And here is the video showing the flip through this journal:

I also painted a picture of a Giraffe and her baby using acrylic paint and watercolor paints.  I painted the background of the journal page with watercolor paints and the giraffe's with acrylic paints.  Here are pics of the giraffe's I painted.

And here is the video showing how I painted these giraffe's:
