Art Journal Page - Birds of a Feather

Hello creative friends.  Hope everyone is having a good weekend.  Mine is going well.  This weekend the Creative Arts Collaboration group is having another YouTube event and I've posted a video for this event.  On this art journal page I used junk mail, paint, Tim Holtz tissue paper and ephemera.  I like the way this journal page turned out for the most part, but feel I could have done a better job on the birds.  Oh well.  Here is a picture of the front of my journal page:

And here is a picture of the inside of my journal page.

I could not decide on what to put on the inside of this page, so as I was going through my quotes to find one to add, I decided to do a group of quotes.  I really like the way the inside of this art journal page turned out.  I also made a mistake on this page, did you spot the mistake.  As I was writing my quote on the front and on the inside with indian ink and a quill pin, I was thinking how feather and together rimed, but only after writing it did I realize I also spelled them the same and they are not spelled the same LOL.  Oh well, it is what it is and my journal is a reflection of me and since I am not perfect, nor is my art journal and I am ok with that.  I could have gessoed over it and fixed it, but decided not to.  Here is the video I made showing how I created this art journal page:

If you want to see more videos posted for this event this weekend you can search YouTube for #pawgustart.  Additionally if you would like to see specific videos, for example videos on art journaling like this one, you can add #artjournal in your search to see all videos on art journaling.  If you liked my video please like, subscribe to my channel or comment on YouTube, I would love to hear from you.  Or you can leave a comment here on my blog.   Thank you for visiting my blog, watching my video and joining us for this weekends event.  We will be holding other events each month with different themes so stayed tuned.  Until next time, happy creating.

Art Journal Page - Uncharted Territory

Hello creative friends. I hope everyone is having a good week.  My week is going well.  This week I have another art journal page that I created some time ago and finally got around to editing the video so I could get it posted.  This journal page started with a page that had leftover paint on it.   I then added a piece of junk mail that was a tri-fold and put gesso on the whole thing.  I covered the whole page and the tri-fold with brown Staz On ink.  I covered the tri-fold with Tim Holtz tissue paper and then decorated the page with a tape transfer, some ephemera from a couple of Tim Holtz ephemera packs and a quote.  I finished the page using a Stabilo pencil.  Here is a picture of the journal page.

Here are some detailed pictures of the inside of the tri-fold.

And here is a video showing how I created this page.

Hope you like the video.  I really like the way this page turned out.  Until next time, happy creating.

Art Journal Page - Believe and Have Faith

Hello creative friends.  How is your week going?  Mine is going ok.  I have not been doing much art journaling lately due to several health related issues recently for me, my daughter and my sister.  Thankfully mine was nothing serious.  My daughter and sister are still recovering from surgeries as well as can be expected.  Here is a quick art journal page that I created a while ago and finally got around to editing the video and getting it posted.  It is an journal page I created using stencils, paints, sprays and a tape transfer.  I finished it off with a quote that I found in my stash.  Here is a picture of the art journal page I completed:

And here is a video showing how I created this page:

I hope you like this journal page and the video.  Hope everyone has a great week. Until next time, happy creating.
