Hello creative friend. I hope everyone is have a great Halloween. I love the Hocus Pocus movie and decided to make a journal inspired from the movie and an art journal page in tribute to the movie. Here is a video showing the journal I made and the art journal page I completed in it.
I really like the way this journal turned out and the art journal page I created. I can't wait to fill it up with more artwork. I hope you have a Happy Halloween and a great weekend. Until next time, Happy Creating.
Hello creative friends. So after creating the many journals from old books, I ended up with a lot of scraps. And instead of adding them to my scrap stash, I decided to make ephemera from them for use in my journals. Here are the first 3 videos showing some of the ephemera I made from the scraps.
I really like how all of these turned out and can't wait to use them in my journals. Thank you for stopping by and checking out my videos. I hope you are able to get inspired and make some ephemera yourself for your journals. Until next time, Happy Creating.
Hello creative friends. I hope everyone is doing well. I have a bunch of books that I got from the flee market quite a while ago, for only $1 for as many books as I could fit into a bag, with the intent of turning them into journals. I decided it was time to do just that, however I didn't want to use the same method for all of them and decided to use several different methods for creating the journals starting with the easiest way to the more involved way. Here are the videos I filmed showing several of the different ways I used to turn these books into journals.
I really like the ways these turned out and happy that I finally got them all turned into journals I can use. Next I am going to use all the scraps, from making these journals, and making some fodder and ephemera to use in these journals. Thank you for stopping by and watching my videos. Let me know if you have any questions. Until next time Happy Creating.

Hello creative friends. I hope you are doing well. I received a lot of ephemera and papers from a friend and decided to make a junk journal for her and one for myself. I used the papers I received from her for the pages and some of the decorations, but used packaging I had in my stash from a mailer to make the covers. Here are a couple of videos showing how I made these journals and decorated them and a flip through of the completed journals.

Hello creative friends. I decided to decorate some rolodex cards. I have a rolodex I got from my husband so that I can decorate the cards. Here is the video showing how I decorated some of the cards.
I had fun decorating these cards and look forward to decorating more. I've seen other peoples rolodex cards that they decorated and so I wanted to do some myself. Have you decorated rolodex cards before? I would love to see them. Thank you for stopping by and watching my video. Happy creating.
Hello creative friends. I've been busy creating a journal out of a little golden book. I purchased a Frida Kahlo kit which had stamps, pattern paper, washi tape and die cuts and decided to also purchase a Little Golden Book of Frida Kahlo and turn it into a journal. Here are the videos showing how I created this journal:
Part 1 - Cover
Part 2 - Signatures
Part 3 - Pockets & Tucks
Part 4 - Binding
Part 5 - Tags & Booklets
I really love how this journal turned out. Let me know what you think! Have a great day, Happy Creating.
Hello creative friends. I hope everyone is doing well. I've been doing my best with everything that has been going on. Without going into too much, I was laid off from my job last March and a year and a half later still unable to find another job, so just trying to figure it all out. Anyway, I've decided that I need to focus more on my art and just let the chips fall where they may. One of the things I feel I needed to do is refill my stash of ephemera for using in journals, art journal pages and mixed media art. So I will be working on several things to do just that. So to start with I wanted to make some clusters that could be used in journals and other artwork, but I also wanted to create the focal images and other pieces to making the clusters with. So I used watercolors to paint different shapes and cut them out. Then I dug into my scraps for additional papers to use in making the clusters. Here is a picture of the clusters I made:
You can check out the video on my YouTube Channel to see how I made these here:
I really am happy with this little stash of clusters and can't wait to use them. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you make something creative today that makes you happy as well. Happy Creating. Take care.
Hello creative friends. Lately I've been having fun creating journals. I've made several journals and posted videos showing how I've created them on my YouTube channel. Here are the videos I've posted recently where I created several types of journals.

Hello creative friends. I recently decided to create some ephemera for my stash by creating some coffee dyed papers, painted book pages and patterned deli papers so that whenever I decided to work on a project then I will have ready made papers in my stash. Here are the videos showing how I created these papers and created a stash for future use in projects and junk journaling.
Creating Papers for my Stash:

Gelli Print Papers:
Words for my Stash:
Pattern Book Pages:
Pattern Deli Paper:
Now I have a ready made stash of papers and words for use in future projects and junk journaling, without having to first make the papers I need to complete a project. I am happy with my stash of papers now and can't wait to start having fun making all of the projects that I wanted to make, but never did due to not having a stash of papers to work with. Thank you for stopping by and checking out my videos. I hope you make a stash of papers for yourself to play with as well. Until next time, Happy Creating.
Hello creative friends. I created another junk journal and had so much fun creating it. I had a book cover that I got in a stash of papers and decided to use it to create this junk journal. And used papers from this same stash and papers from my own stash for the pages. I also created pockets, belly bands, paperclips clusters and hidden paperclip tabs to add to this journal. Here are pictures of the journal I created.
I did not record the process for making this journal, because I made it the same as the last one in my previous post, except for I used a book cover instead of making the cover myself. So you can go to my previous blog post to see the video on how I make a junk journal. However I did create a video to show you a flip through of this Nature Journal and how I made the hidden paperclip tabs that I used in this journal. Here is the video.
I really enjoyed making this journal and love how it came out. Not sure what I am going to do with it or if I am going to add more to it at this time, just enjoying having it to look through for now. Have you made a junk journal before? If so I would love to hear about it. Thank you for stopping by and watching my video. Until next time, Happy Creating.
Hello creative friends. I hope everyone is doing well. I've been working on creating a junk journal and recording the process to create a series on making the journal; Then making the pockets, tucks, belli bands, paperclips and tags to go in it; And then I show you how I organized my ephemera and put it all together. I've been wanting to make a fabric, crinkly, lacy, junk journal, but with structure, for some time now. And stuffing the journal with elements that I make for it. Here are pictures of the Junk Journal I made:
And here is the first video showing how I created the journal.
You can subscribe to my YouTube channel and hit the notification bell to be notified of when the other videos are posted to see the other video's in the series. I hope you join me in creating a junk journal, the elements for the journal and then putting everything together. Thank you for stopping by, Happy Creating.
Hello creative friends. I hope you are having a good week. My week is going well. This week I have a watercolor and color pencil drawing of a Kudu Antelope that I drew for my 100 day project. And I did more work on the white tiger painting I started last year. Here is a picture of the white tiger painting and the Kudu Antelope drawing.
And here is a video showing how I created the Kudu Antelope.I think I am done with the white tiger. When I originally painted it, I was ok with it but I didn't love it. So I decided to do more to it and now I love it. I am also happy with the Kudu Antelope and how it turned out. My original idea was to use watercolors to paint it. But I wasn't getting the details and depth that I wanted, so I went over top of it with color pencils and am much happier with it. Thank you for stopping by. I hope you have a great week. Until next time, Happy Creating.
Hello creative friends. I hope you are having a great week. My week has been going well. This week I have s couple of more drawings/watercolor paintings I've done for the 100 day project and a video showing how I created the cheetah. Here are the pictures:
And here is the video showing how I created the cheetah:
I really like the way the cheetah and the bear turned out, not as happy with the owl, but it's ok. One of the things I realized in doing this 100 day project is that I don't have to complete a drawing/watercolor painting every day, I can draw the picture one day and then paint it the next day or two. The idea is to interject more creativity into my life and not to put so much pressure on myself. So if I don't feel like doing anything creative one day then I may try to do something simple and less stressful and if it gets my creative juices flowing then I can do more. Thank you for stopping by and watching my video. I hope you are planning to do something creative, no matter how small, most days as well. Until next time, happy creating.
