Mixed Media Notebook Cover
Hello creative friends. I hope everyone is having a good week. My week has been going well. This week I have a mixed media cover that I created on a notebook. I wanted to make a gift for a friend at work for Christmas and since she takes notes a lot, I though it would be a good idea to do a mixed media cover on a notebook. I used a composition notebook and glued beads and buttons to the cover. I then covered everything with white gesso. I used spray inks to add color to the cover and then highlighted the texture with copper metallic paint. I then added washing tape to the cover and a tag. I then did the back cover to match the front by adding gesso to the back cover, then ink sprays and then metallic paint. Here are pictures of the mixed media cover I made.
And here is the video showing how I created this notebook cover.

Art Journal Page - Ripple Effect
Hello creative friends. I hope everyone is having a good week. My week is going well. This week I have an art journal page I created using watercolor paints, Posca pens, washi tape and ephemera from my stash. I really like the art journal pages I see other artist do where they add wavy lines and then write between the lines, so I decided to try it myself. I used watercolor paint to add color to the page, then I added some washi tape and affixed a picture from my stash. I then found a quote in my stash that I liked and though went with the page well. I added the wavy lines to my journal page and wrote the quote on the page with a Posca pen. Here is a picture of the art journal page I created.
And here is the video showing how I created this page.
It was a lot harder to do the wavy lines and the quote than I ever thought. I struggled with figuring out how many lines I would need and of course I ran out of space and had to squeeze the last bit into the space at the bottom. But I really like the way this page turned out. Have you ever tried this before? Thank you for stopping by and watching my video. Hope you have a great week. Until next time, Happy Creating.

Art Journal Page - Determination
Hello creative friends. I hope everyone is having a great week. My week has been going well. I've been very busy at work this week and looking forward to some time off during the Christmas/New Year holiday. This week I have an art journal page that I created using watercolor paint and acrylic paint, some foam stars and letters and a picture and a couple of quotes from my stash. I applied watercolor paint to my page and then used alcohol and salt to add texture to the page. I then affixed the picture and foam stars and letters to the page. I used acrylic paint to add silver to the stars and the letters. I then added the quotes and used the silver paint to outline them. Here are pictures of the art journal page I created.
And here is the video showing how I created this page.
As always I really like the way this page turned out and I like the quotes and message of this journal page. If you have any questions, please leave me a comment. Thank you for stopping by and watching my video. I hope you have a great week. Until next time, Happy Creating.

Art Journal Page - Courage to Go On and Revamped Journals
Hello creative friends. Hope you are having a good week. My week is going well. This week I have an art journal page that I created and I also took time off work last week and revamped the journals in my Etsy shop. I added more decorations to the journals to decorate the cover and the pages. I added clips and more tags to the journals. I then added a chain of handmade Boho beads to the binding. Here are some pics of the revamped journals.
And here is the picture of the art journal page I created. I used watercolor paints to add color to the page and then Recollections watercolor brush pens to create the black lace on the page. I added a picture from my stash to the page attached to black cardstock. I then added some white lace and material to the picture. I then finished it with off with some flowers and a quote.

I really like the way this page turned out and had a lot of fun revamping the journals in my Etsy shop. Hopefully I will find a home for them. If interested in any of the journals you can visit my Etsy shop at: https://www.etsy.com/shop/JoysArt360 and if you want to see a flip through any of the journals you can see them on my YouTube channel. Art Journal Page - Morning Light and a Weekend Country Fair
Hello creative friends. I hope everyone is having a good week. My week is going well. This past weekend me and my husband went to a county fair at our local national park. Fall is my favorite time of the year because that is when the weather in Florida cools off and there are lots of fall festivals to attend. Here are a couple of pics from the country fair.
I also have an art journal page I created using Gesso, Watercolor paints, Staz-on Ink, stencils, gel medium, Posca pens, washi tape and ephemera from my stash. I took scraps of a map and music note page and used gesso to adhere them to my page. I added washi take and then added color to the page using watercolor paints. Then I used Staz-on inks through stencils to add pattern to the page. I adhered my picture, title and a quote to the page and then used my black Posca pen to trace around the picture, title and quote. Here is a picture of the art journal page I created.

3 Tags and an Art Journal Page
Hello creative friends. I hope everyone is having a great week. My week is going well. This week I have 3 tags and an art journal page I creating. The art journal page I created while out with the Journey Daybook club. The Journey Daybook club met at a park that has a farm once owned by a writer. We took a tour of the house and then spend some time art journaling. I drew a part of the house and then used watercolors to color it in. Here is a picture of the art journal page that I created and some other pics from the outing.
And the tags I made using Dina Wakley stamps, a Dina Wakely Stencil and Recollections Watercolor brush pens I recently bought. I also used my Prismacolor pencils, Artistrove watercolor set, Pentel markers and Basic modeling paste. Here is a picture of the tags I made.
And here is a video showing how I created these tags.
I had a lot of fun with the Journey Daybook outing and creating the art journal page. I also had a lot of fun creating these tags. Not sure what I am going to do with them, but they were fun to make. Thank you for stopping by and checking out my video. I hope you have a great week. Until next time, Happy Creating.
