Hello creative friends. I hope everyone is having a good week. This week I am on vacation, so I am having a great week LOL. Here is an art journal page the I created before going on vacation and scheduled this to post when the video goes live on YouTube. This page I created in my Dina Wakley journal and I used a new set of gouache paint that I recently purchased. I did a rough sketch of what I wanted to create on this page and then painted it in. I then used some stamped images of shells that I colored and added to the page and then add a quote from my stash. The quote says "You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf! by John Kabat-Zinn". Here is a picture of the journal page I created.

This was the first time I've used gouache paint; I had fun playing around with them and creating this page.
Something else I've been playing around with is watercolor paints and have been going back in my pictures to find pictures to paint. Here are some watercolor sketches I created from a trip to Sea World.

Hello creative friends. I hope everyone is having a good week. My week has been going well. Next we me and my husband are going on vacation, so I won't be posting until the weekend when we get back. This week I have another art journal page I created in my new Dina Wakley art journal. I used watercolor crayons to add color to the page. I then stamped it with acrylic paint. I then colored stamp images with watercolor pens. I then added some die cut flowers to the page and added my stamped images. I then added some dots to the page using liquid beads. Hello creative friends. I hope everyone is having a good week. My week is going well. This week I am continuing to work in my new Diana Wakley art journal and creating art journal pages in it. For this weeks art journal page, I scraped paint on the page and used some tools to scrape texture in the wet paint. I then colored some stamped images with my watercolor pens. I die cut some flowers out of difference pattern papers and adhered them to the page. I added the butterflies to the page and then added some shimmer to the butterflies using a glitter pen. Finally I added some dots to the page and a quote from my stash. Here is a picture of the art journal page I created.

This isn't my favorite page, it's ok. The background seems a bit messy and I think it would have looked better if I had toned it down a little so that the flowers and butterflies could stand out more. Thank you for stopping by and watching my video. Until next time, Happy Creating.

This page had some paint already on it from cleaning off my brayer while doing other pages. I then added more acrylic paint to the page, some white circles and yellow dots using acrylic paint. I colored a stamped image and found a quote from my stash to add to the page. I also made a tag and added it to my page. Here is a picture of the art journal page I created.

I decided to use one of the canvas pages. I added circles to the canvas page with orange, black and white acrylic paint. I added dots with yellow acrylic paint. I colored a stamped image of an elephant and added it to the page. I then added a tag and a quote from my stash. Here is a picture of the page I created.

Hello creative friends. I hope everyone is having a great week. My week is going well. This week I have an art journal page I created in my new Dina Wakley art journal. I used a brayer to add to add paint to the page. I then stamped it with black acrylic paint using a sanding block I found at Lowe's that had hexagon's on it. I then colored some Dylusion die cuts that I bought with my watercolor paint pens. I colored and added a cat I stamped. I then added the word Relax from my stash and then used a black pen to put a boarder around the page and other marks. Here is a pic of the journal page I created.

Hello creative friends. I hope everyone is having a good week. This week I have another art journal page that I created in my new Dina Wakley mixed media journal. I decided to do an art journal page on one of the burlap pages. I added some orange color to the page with a brayer and then used a button to add white dots and a cylinder to add some black circles to the page. I then cut out some stamped images from my journal that I stamped a bunch of images in and colored them with my watercolor pens. I added the stamped images to the page with a couple of words I found in my stash. I then added a bit of washi tape at the top. Here is a picture of the art journal page I created.
