Hello creative friends. I hope everyone is having a good week. This week has been going well for me. I am on vacation this week, yea. I really needed a break. As mentioned last week, with the new year just around the corner I've been thinking about a new planner and decided to create my own custom planner. So this is part 2 where I plan out my monthly and weekly pages; Create them and add them to my planner pages. Part 1 showed how I used scrapbook paper to create the pages and make the planner cover. And part 3, next week, will show how I decorate to cover and some of the pages. Here is what the planner looks like, so far just the interior pages have changed.
Welcome to my art blog. Join me in exploring art through drawing, painting, art journaling and mixed media; Using different tools, supplies and techniques; And finding inspiration.

Creating a Custom Planner Part 1
Hello creative friends. I hope everyone is having a good week. This week has been going well for me. With the new year just around the corner I've been thinking about a new planner. I figure my options are to buy a planner, like I did the year before last, or a bullet journal, like I did last year. But I wanted something in between the two. I saw a video where someone altered a book for their planner and was thinking about doing that. But in the end I decided to create my own custom planner. So I used scrapbook paper I had to create the pages and to cover the planner cover. Here is what the planner looks like so far. Next I will plan out my pages and create my monthly calendars and weekly spreads.
And here is the video showing how I created my planner.I really like how the cover turned out and the paper I used for it and the pages; And I can't wait to decorate it and start decorating the inside pages, once I figure out how I am going to lay out my pages. Thank you for stopping by and watching my video. Hope you stop by next week and see how I lay out the pages in my planner. Until next time, Happy Creating.Tuesday, November 10, 2020
Inktober 2020 Flip Through
Hello creative friends. I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe. We have been doing well. This week I have a video showing all of my Inktober drawings, the good, the bad and the ugly LOL. I got off to a great start and posted some of my drawings previously, but half way through was not happy with my drawings and started to burn out. I skipped doing any drawings on quite a few days towards the end and then gave up all together. Here are a couple of drawings I did towards the end that I was ok with, but still had issues with them, which I explain in my video below.
In my video you will also see several other drawings that I did and was not happy with at all. Part of the problem was with my inexperience with using markers in with my drawings and part of the issue was with my drawings. And then after Inktober ended I decided to just do a couple of drawings using simply a regular pencil and a charcoal pencil.
And here is the video showing the complete flip through all of my Inktober drawings.I plan to continue to practice drawing animals, but will use different media for my drawings other than markers. I would be interested in seeing your drawings if you participated in Inktober, so leave me a comment and let me know where I can see your drawings. Until next time, Happy creating.
