Welcome to my art blog. Join me in exploring art through drawing, painting, art journaling and mixed media; Using different tools, supplies and techniques; And finding inspiration.
Hello creative friends. Hope everyone is having a good week. Mine has been going well. This week I have an art journal page that I created using a napkin and watercolor paints for the background. Then I found a picture of a face the I liked and ephemera from my stash, along with a title, to finish this page. I added Prima flowers, K & Company cards, pink rhinestones, a butterfly and other ephemera for a fancy headdress. Here is a picture of the art journal page I created.
And here is the video showing how I created this page.
I had fun creating this page and hope you try this sometime. Thank you for stopping by. Until next time, Happy Creating.
Hello creative friends. Hope you are having a great week. Mine is going well. Work is very busy, but at least I have the weekends to be creative and the opportunity to share my art with all of you. Some time ago, probably about a year ago, I decided to play around with stencils and Dylusions ink sprays in a Dylusions art journal that I had just bought, so I decided that it was time to put something on these pages to finish them. I searched through my stash and found some pictures and titles to add to these pages. Here are pics of the completed pages.
The following page is an interactive page - the picture of the car was added in with Washi tape.
And here is the video showing how I finished these pages.
When I don't have a lot of time, or not in the mood to spend a lot of time on a page, I turn to my stash of saved images and titles to put on my art journal pages. I hope this inspires you to finish any pages you have started, but never completed. Thank you for stopping by. Have a great week and until next time, happy creating.
Hello creative friends. Hope everyone had a good weekend and is having a good week. Mine is going well and my weekends are always best when I have time to create. I've been seeing a lot of magazine articles and YouTube videos where people are creating paper dolls. So I thought it would be fun to make some paper dolls myself. I decided to use magazine images for my paper dolls and brads for the joints so that they can be posed. Here are some pics of the paper dolls I created.
And here is a video showing how I created these paper dolls.
Have you created paper dolls yet? They are a lot of fun to create and there are lots of different ways to create them. I hope you have a great week. Thank you for stopping by. Until next time, happy creating.
Hello creative friends. Hope everyone is having a good week. Mine has been going well. This week I have an art journal page that I created in my Dylusions journal. I have several journal pages in my Dylusions journal that I created some time ago while I was playing around with Dylusions spray inks and stencils. So I thought I would put something on this one. On this page I had sprayed some Dylusions ink on it and then removed some of the ink with a baby wipe through a circle stencil. I decided to use some modeling paste through a Tim Holtz Flourish stencil on the page and rubbed some red Ranger distress ink through a Valentina stencil to add more interest to the background. I then painted music note pages with various Dylusions paints, stamped butterflies using Deep Red stamps and my quote. I cut everything out and adhered them to my page. I added antennas to the butterflies, shadows and swirl doodles trailing the butterflies. Here is a pic of the page I created and some close up pics.

Hello creative friends. Hope everyone is having a good week. Mine is going well. This week I have a couple of art journal pages that I created in my Dylusions journal using Dylusions paint, Dylusions Journal Block, Posca paint pens, stencils and ephemera from my stash. I saw a video from Dyan Reaveley where she trimmed several journal pages using the Dylusions Journal Block and decorated the edges, so I thought that would be fun to try. I trimmed several journal pages using my Dylusions Journal Block, painted the pages with Dylusions paints and then decorated the pages with a stencil in a contracting color; I then decorated the edges of the cut journal pages with a similar contrasting color using my Posca paint pens and then added ephemera from my stash. Here is a pic of the decorative edges and pics of the art journal pages I created.
And if interested, here is the video showing how I created these pages.
Thank you everyone who joined the video hop on Friday and over the weekend. And thank you for stopping by. Hope you have a great week. Until next time, happy creating.
