Hello creative friends.  I hope everyone is doing good and staying safe.  I've been doing good and staying busy.  This week I have an art journal page that I completed for the Dina Wakley year of gratitude challenge "I am grateful for color".  This is the July challenge so I am behind and trying to get caught up on these.  Here are pics of the art journal page I created.

And here is the video showing how I created this page.

I really like the way this page turned out and I had a lot of fun creating it.  Thank you for stopping by and watching my video.  Until next time, Happy Creating.

Creating Affirmation Cards and Book of Days Update

Hello creative friends.  I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.  Me and my family are doing well.  I'm still working from home due to covid and no word on when we will return to the offices.  Which I'm not complaining, so no rush.  You would think that since I don't have the long commute to work that I would have more time to do art, but for some reason I am finding it hard this year to get inspired and motivated to do much art.  I'm still trying to keep up with the Book of Days that I signed up for this year and the Dina Wakley year of gratitude, but not doing well with either.  I've had a lot going on this year though with the surgery, therapy and all.  Anyway, here are some of the recent pages I've done for the book of days.

I also managed to complete a project that I've been thinking about doing for more than a year now and that is making my own affirmation cards.  I bought some cards from the dollar store for a kids game, put gesso on one side, scrapbook paper on the other side, and then proceeded to paint, stamp and color the side with the gesso to create my affirmation cards.  Here is a picture of the whole deck and some pics of some of the cards I created.

And here is the video showing how I made these card.

I really like how these cards turned out and had a lot of fun creating them. Thank you for stopping by and watching my video.  Stay safe and until next time, Happy creating.

I am Grateful for Stillness Art Journal Page

Hello creative friends.  I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.  So far we have been doing well.  I've been working from home since March and getting stir crazy, but other than that I've just been trying to stay quarantined, stay sane, continue to do my physical therapy and heal from my surgery.  This week I have another art journal page for Dina Wakley's year of gratitude challenge.  This is for the May challenge, I am grateful for stillness.  I got behind on these, but wanted to go back and do the past months anyway so that by the end of the year I will have done them all in my little Dina Wakley media journal.  I used Dina Wakley paints, Dina Wakley collage media, Dina Wakley collage words, a stencil, Staz-on ink pad, a tag and a silver pen.  Here are pics of the art journal page I created.

And here is the video showing how I created this page.

I really like the way this page turned out and had fun creating it.  Using Dina Wakley Collage Media and words made putting this page together so quick and easy.  Thank you for stopping by and watching my video.  Stay safe. Until next time, Happy Creating.

I Am Grateful for Community Art Journal Page

Hello creative friend.  I hope everyone is having a good week and staying safe.  My week is going well.  This week I have an art journal page I created for the year of gratitude that Dina Wakley is doing.  This prompt is "I am grateful for community" and was the prompt for April.  I am behind on these, but wanted to go back and do the prompts from previous months to get caught up.  I created this journal page in my Dina Wakley media journal using Dina Wakley Collage Media, Dina Wakley paint, stamps, stencils, a tag, Staz-on ink and ephemera from my stash.  Here is the art journal page I created.

And here is the video showing how I created this page.
I may have over did it on the stamping, but I was having so much fun with it.  I think the background is a bit overdone, but I like the way it turned out.  And I like the message as well.  Thank you for stopping by and watching my video.  Until next time, Stay Safe and Happy Creating.

I am Grateful for Second Chances, Book of Days and New Journals

Hello creative friends.  I hope everyone is staying safe and weathering the storm well.  This year has been very challenging for me.  I had a health issue that came up in January that caused me a lot of pain.  I finally went to the doctor in February, realizing that it was getting worse instead of better, and found out I had a frozen shoulder and torn rotator cup, so they scheduled me for surgery.  Then the surgery got reschedule twice and then cancelled.  I finally was able to get the surgery end of May and have been in physical therapy every since.  I am still in some pain, but it is definitely getting better.  I've not done much during this time and now am finally getting back into the art room and trying to get caught up on things.

This past weekend I completed an art journal page for the Dina Wakley year of gratitude challenge and the challenge for June is I am grateful for second chances.  So I created the following page in my Dina Wakley mixed media journal using Dina Wakley paints, Dina Wakley stamp, Staz-on ink pad and a black paint pen.  Here is the art journal page I created.

It's not one of my favorite pages, but it felt good to work on something creative.  And here is the video showing how I created this page.

As mentioned before, I also signed up for the Book of Days this year and working on some of the pages for that when I was feeling up it and I am behind on that as well.  Here are a couple of the pages I did for Book of Days that I was happy with.  It's sometimes nice to be creative without having to put a lot of thought into it.

And I took a couple of classes from Jennibellie and created these two journals.

I had fun creating these journals and I've been working on filling them.  Hopefully now that I am feeling better and the pain is improving, I will be able to get caught up and back to creating more regularly.  Thank you for stopping by and watching my video.  I hope you and your family continue to stay safe.  Until next time, Happy Creating.

I am grateful for Adventure

Hello creative friends. I hope everyone is having a good week and staying safe.  My week is going ok so far, but this year has been a very challenging year for me due to medical and family issues so I have not been able to do as much creating this year as I would like.  I was however able to get in the art room this past weekend and create an art journal page for Dina Wakley's year of gratitude challenge.  The challenge for March is I am grateful for adventure.  I decided to create a page about being grateful for adventures in creativity as I feel that each art journal page I create is an adventure because I never know in which direction it will go or how it will turn out.  Even when I have pre-conceived notions about what I want the art journal page to look like, it always ends up looking completely different, so I've learned to just start adding to the page and let the page develop as I go along.  For this art journal page I used my Dina Wakley art journal, Dina Wakley paints, Dina Wakley stencils, Dyalog Stencil, Dina Wakley Scribble sticks, Staz-on ink pad and some letter stamps from my stash.  Here are pictures of the art journal page I created.

And here is the video showing how I created this page.
I really like the way this art journal page turned out.  And as mentioned above life has been very challenging for me at this time, so I will only be posting when I am able to.  I hope everyone stay's safe.  Thank you for stopping by and watching my video, until next time Happy Creating.
