I am Grateful for Second Chances, Book of Days and New Journals

Hello creative friends.  I hope everyone is staying safe and weathering the storm well.  This year has been very challenging for me.  I had a health issue that came up in January that caused me a lot of pain.  I finally went to the doctor in February, realizing that it was getting worse instead of better, and found out I had a frozen shoulder and torn rotator cup, so they scheduled me for surgery.  Then the surgery got reschedule twice and then cancelled.  I finally was able to get the surgery end of May and have been in physical therapy every since.  I am still in some pain, but it is definitely getting better.  I've not done much during this time and now am finally getting back into the art room and trying to get caught up on things.

This past weekend I completed an art journal page for the Dina Wakley year of gratitude challenge and the challenge for June is I am grateful for second chances.  So I created the following page in my Dina Wakley mixed media journal using Dina Wakley paints, Dina Wakley stamp, Staz-on ink pad and a black paint pen.  Here is the art journal page I created.

It's not one of my favorite pages, but it felt good to work on something creative.  And here is the video showing how I created this page.

As mentioned before, I also signed up for the Book of Days this year and working on some of the pages for that when I was feeling up it and I am behind on that as well.  Here are a couple of the pages I did for Book of Days that I was happy with.  It's sometimes nice to be creative without having to put a lot of thought into it.

And I took a couple of classes from Jennibellie and created these two journals.

I had fun creating these journals and I've been working on filling them.  Hopefully now that I am feeling better and the pain is improving, I will be able to get caught up and back to creating more regularly.  Thank you for stopping by and watching my video.  I hope you and your family continue to stay safe.  Until next time, Happy Creating.
