Welcome to my art blog. Join me in exploring art through drawing, painting, art journaling and mixed media; Using different tools, supplies and techniques; And finding inspiration.
Hello creative friends. I hope everyone is having a great week. My week is going well. This week I have an art journal page I created in my new Dina Wakley Mixed Media Journal. I love the different papers and fabric in this journal. I decided to use one of the burlap pages. I first used a pallet knife to swipe gesso on the burlap and then used ink sprays to color the gesso. I then cut our stamped images of butterflies and flowers. I colored the butterflies and flower stamps with watercolor pens. I stamped some flowers on the page for a background and then glued the butterflies and flowers to it. I found a quote in my stash that says "Out of difficulties grow miracles" by Jean De La Bruyere. I glued the quote, with a few scrap of printed papers, to the page. I used a Winka Stella pen on the butterfly wings to give them some shimmer and finish the page. Here is a picture of the page I created.
And here is the video I made showing how I created this page.
I really like the way this page turned out and am looking forward to creating more art journal pages in this new journal. Thank you for stopping by and watching my video. Until next time, Happy Creating.
