Hello creative friends. Hope everyone is having a great week. Mine week is busy, but going well. The art journal page I created a couple of weeks ago, after creating the #CACFantasyArt journal page. I had so much fun that I wanted to create another similar page. I also have been wanting to create a page with an Angel for some time. So I searched through my stash and found an image that I thought would work along with a couple of quotes. I painted the background and the winds and then added the image and quotes to finish this journal page. Here are pictures of the journal page I created.
And here is a video showing how I created this page. I finally got it to upload, I could not get it to upload last night. I may have to change what night I post if Tuesday nights are going to be an issue. Anyway, enjoy the video.
I really like the way this journal page turned out and I had a lot of fun creating it. Have you created an art journal page with an Angel before? If so I would love to hear about it. Thank you for stopping by. Until next time, Happy Creating.
Hello creative friends. Hope everyone had a good weekend and is having a good week. My week is going well. This past weekend I wanted to do some art journaling, but was not sure what to do. So I looked through my stash and found some pictures and several quotes for creating an art journal page for St. Patrick's Day. I put down some paint, used paint through several stencils for the background, added the pictures and quotes from my stash and then outlined everything with markers. Here is a picture of the page I created and some close-ups.
And here is a video showing how I created this page.
I hope you had a Happy St. Patrick's Day. Thank you for stopping by. Until next time, Happy Creating.
Hello creative friends. Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Mine is going well. As mentioned in my last post, this weekend is the Creative Arts Collaboration group's March 2016 event #CACFantasyArt. I have not done a lot of fantasy art before, but had a lot of fun doing this art journal page. So much so I plan to do more fantasy art like this. Here are pictures of the journal page I created.
And here is the video showing how I created this page.

Hello creative friends. I hope everyone is having a great week. Mine is going well. This past weekend I was busy creating art journal pages. I created an art journal page for the Creative Arts Collaboration groups March 2016 event #CACFantasyArt. I was going to post it tonight, but then realized that we are not suppose to post it yet. So I will be posting that video this weekend and if you are interested you can search #CACFantasyArt on YouTube this weekend to see all the videos that will be posted for this event. The video I'm posted today is a page that I created using paint, book pages, junk mail, tissue paper and ephemera. After gluing down a piece of junk mail, coving with book page, paint and tissue paper to create the background, I looked through my stash and I found the phrase "Let it Go" and thought it was perfect for this page. I found other phases, quotes and pictures to go along with the page to finish it. here are pictures of the page:

Hello Creative Friends. Hope everyone is have a great week. Mine is going well. Recently I saw a video from Mike Deakin on the March Mission Inspiration challenge, so I decided to take the challenge and create an art journal page this weekend going through the steps. It was a challenge, but a lot of fun. I put more on this art journal page than I typically put on an art journal page, but I really like the way it turned out. Here is the art journal page that I created.

Hello creative friends. Hope everyone is having a great week. Mine is going well. This week I have a lot to share. First is an art journal page that I was originally creating for the Creative Collaboration groups #LoveSpringArt event, but was unable to get it completed and the video ready to upload in time for the event. Anyhow, this journal page I created using strips and pieces of pattern paper, gel pens and colored pencils. Here are pictures of the journal page I created.
And here is the video showing how this journal page was created.
Next, I went to my mom's house this past weekend and we all made journals. My mom, sister, granddaughter and niece were there and I showed them how to make their own journals. We had a lot of fun creating these journals. Here are pictures of the journals we created.
My journal
My Mom' Journal
My Sister's Journal
My Niece's Journal
My Granddaughter's Journal
Not sure why my granddaughter made a wedding journal, because she is 13 and we don't know anyone who is getting married, but that is what she wanted to make and it turned out really cute.
Finally, for my upcoming birthday my wonderful husband put up shelves in my craft room so that I would have more room and be able to get more organized. Here are pics of the before and after.

I had a lot of fun making the art journal page and making journals with my family. And I am so excited about my craft room overhaul and can't wait to start creating in it. It is so much more organized and inspirational. I have so much room now to work. Before it was so dark, cluttered and not very inspiring. Thank you for stopping by. Until next time, Happy Creating.
