Welcome to my art blog. Join me in exploring art through drawing, painting, art journaling and mixed media; Using different tools, supplies and techniques; And finding inspiration.
Hello creative friends. I've been busy creating a journal out of a little golden book. I purchased a Frida Kahlo kit which had stamps, pattern paper, washi tape and die cuts and decided to also purchase a Little Golden Book of Frida Kahlo and turn it into a journal. Here are the videos showing how I created this journal:
Part 1 - Cover
Part 2 - Signatures
Part 3 - Pockets & Tucks
Part 4 - Binding
Part 5 - Tags & Booklets
I really love how this journal turned out. Let me know what you think! Have a great day, Happy Creating.
Hello creative friends. I hope everyone is doing well. I've been doing my best with everything that has been going on. Without going into too much, I was laid off from my job last March and a year and a half later still unable to find another job, so just trying to figure it all out. Anyway, I've decided that I need to focus more on my art and just let the chips fall where they may. One of the things I feel I needed to do is refill my stash of ephemera for using in journals, art journal pages and mixed media art. So I will be working on several things to do just that. So to start with I wanted to make some clusters that could be used in journals and other artwork, but I also wanted to create the focal images and other pieces to making the clusters with. So I used watercolors to paint different shapes and cut them out. Then I dug into my scraps for additional papers to use in making the clusters. Here is a picture of the clusters I made:
You can check out the video on my YouTube Channel to see how I made these here:
I really am happy with this little stash of clusters and can't wait to use them. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you make something creative today that makes you happy as well. Happy Creating. Take care.
Hello creative friends. Lately I've been having fun creating journals. I've made several journals and posted videos showing how I've created them on my YouTube channel. Here are the videos I've posted recently where I created several types of journals.

I really like the ways these journals turned out and I had fun creating them. Let me know what you think and if you have any questions. Thank you for stopping by. Until next time, Happy Creating.
Hello creative friends. I recently decided to create some ephemera for my stash by creating some coffee dyed papers, painted book pages and patterned deli papers so that whenever I decided to work on a project then I will have ready made papers in my stash. Here are the videos showing how I created these papers and created a stash for future use in projects and junk journaling.

Now I have a ready made stash of papers and words for use in future projects and junk journaling, without having to first make the papers I need to complete a project. I am happy with my stash of papers now and can't wait to start having fun making all of the projects that I wanted to make, but never did due to not having a stash of papers to work with. Thank you for stopping by and checking out my videos. I hope you make a stash of papers for yourself to play with as well. Until next time, Happy Creating.
Hello creative friends. I created another junk journal and had so much fun creating it. I had a book cover that I got in a stash of papers and decided to use it to create this junk journal. And used papers from this same stash and papers from my own stash for the pages. I also created pockets, belly bands, paperclips clusters and hidden paperclip tabs to add to this journal. Here are pictures of the journal I created.
I did not record the process for making this journal, because I made it the same as the last one in my previous post, except for I used a book cover instead of making the cover myself. So you can go to my previous blog post to see the video on how I make a junk journal. However I did create a video to show you a flip through of this Nature Journal and how I made the hidden paperclip tabs that I used in this journal. Here is the video.
I really enjoyed making this journal and love how it came out. Not sure what I am going to do with it or if I am going to add more to it at this time, just enjoying having it to look through for now. Have you made a junk journal before? If so I would love to hear about it. Thank you for stopping by and watching my video. Until next time, Happy Creating.
Hello creative friends. I hope everyone is doing well. I've been working on creating a junk journal and recording the process to create a series on making the journal; Then making the pockets, tucks, belli bands, paperclips and tags to go in it; And then I show you how I organized my ephemera and put it all together. I've been wanting to make a fabric, crinkly, lacy, junk journal, but with structure, for some time now. And stuffing the journal with elements that I make for it. Here are pictures of the Junk Journal I made:
And here is the first video showing how I created the journal.
You can subscribe to my YouTube channel and hit the notification bell to be notified of when the other videos are posted to see the other video's in the series. I hope you join me in creating a junk journal, the elements for the journal and then putting everything together. Thank you for stopping by, Happy Creating.
Hello creative friends. I hope everyone is doing well. I recently went through my art room and re-organized it. I was no longer feeling inspired to go in there and create. And when I did I felt overwhelmed. I made a video showing the before and all the problem areas. And showed the after and how I re-organized everything better. Here is the video:
I am in love with my art room again. I feel so inspired and can't wait to get in there to create. Thank you for stopping by and checking out my video. Until next time, Happy Creating.
